Terms of Service

1. Who we are

ROAM Systems is a trading name of Romark Engineering Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 07411656), registered office: 15 Lampits Hill, Corringham, Stanford-le-Hope, Essex, SS17 9AA. VAT number: GB 974 5806 77. You can contact us at sales@roamsystems.co.uk.

2. These terms and how you accept them

These terms apply to every order placed through this website (roamsystems.co.uk). You accept these terms by ticking the agreement box at checkout before payment; your order cannot be placed without doing so. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights. If you are buying on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business, and these terms apply to the exclusion of any terms you seek to impose.

3. Orders and contract formation

Your order is an offer to buy. A binding contract is formed only when we dispatch the goods to you. We may decline or cancel any order at any time before dispatch for any reason, in which case we will refund you in full promptly. Payment taken at checkout is held against your order pending dispatch.

4. Prices and payment

All prices are in British Pounds (GBP). VAT is calculated and shown at checkout. Payment is processed securely by Stripe at the time of ordering. Prices may change without notice, but changes do not affect orders already placed.

5. Delivery

Our products are made to order. Typical build time is 2–4 weeks for stocked items (bespoke trimming and upholstery up to 6 weeks), with delivery usually within 3–5 working days of dispatch. Full details are in our Shipping Policy. Delivery estimates are given in good faith and are not guaranteed dates.

6. Cancellation and returns

If you are a consumer buying at a distance, you normally have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your order under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. This right does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised (which includes most of our made-to-order and customised furniture). See our Refund Policy for the process, or contact us to discuss your situation.

7. Intellectual property and design rights

All product designs, and all drawings, CAD models, specifications, installation guides and other technical documentation relating to our products, are and remain the exclusive property of Romark Holdings Ltd and are used under licence by Romark Engineering Limited. They are protected by copyright, UK unregistered design right, UK Registered Designs Nos. 6266396, 6266397, 6266398 and 6266399, and EU Registered Community Designs Nos. 015033319-0001 to 015033319-0004.

Purchase of a product transfers ownership of that physical item only. It does not grant any licence or right to manufacture, reproduce, copy, adapt or commercially exploit the product's design, in whole or in part.

Any drawings, dimensions or technical documentation we supply with or in connection with a product are confidential, are licensed solely for the installation, use and maintenance of the purchased product, and must not be disclosed to any third party, used to manufacture or have manufactured any product or component, or used for reverse engineering. We pursue infringements of our registered and unregistered design rights.

8. Certification and installation

Our M1 (ECE R14.09) and ISOFIX (ECE R145) certifications apply only to genuine ROAM Systems products as manufactured by Romark Engineering Limited and installed in accordance with our instructions. Certification does not extend to copied, modified or incorrectly installed products. You are responsible for ensuring installation follows the supplied instructions; if in doubt, use a competent professional installer or contact us.

9. Warranty and defective goods

If your order arrives damaged or develops a fault, contact us at sales@roamsystems.co.uk and we will repair, replace or refund in accordance with our Refund Policy. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described) are unaffected by these terms.

10. Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law, and nothing affects a consumer's statutory rights. Subject to that, our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the price paid for that order, and (for business customers) we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss of business.

11. Governing law

These terms, and any contract formed under them, are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute (consumers resident elsewhere in the UK may also bring proceedings in their local courts).
